    Our Preschool Resources

    Preschool or Pre-K depending on where you live, is such an incredibly fun stage in the homeschooling journey!  A gentle introduction to reading, writing and basic mathematics seems to be the heart of this “first year” of study.   We tend to cover other subjects with both girls together, such as science, geography, history, art and music.     We have fallen in love with the Ingalls new home “On the Banks of Plum Creek”.  The wildlife that is described in this book, along with the antics of the ever-precocious Laura is a win-win for the girls.     A Closer Look at Snowflakes

    We always kick off the first week of Winter with a snowflake study and this year was no different.  We decided to give the classic paper snowflake a twist when we used small cupcake liners to create these beauties.  The ripple texture, pre-made perfect circle and “easy-for-little-hands-to-fold” size of the liners were a win-win! Imagine with shimmering silver or snowflake patterned liners?!  Too cute!
