A Closer Look at Birds
As the weather cools and the world gets buried in white winter, we begin to set up our patio bird feeders and wait for them to be discovered. Living in Eastern Canada, we tend to see blue jays, cardinals, chickadees, nuthatches, grey jays, mourning doves and pileated, downy and hairy woodpeckers. We wanted to share our favorite card and board games with you today! The girls are able to play each of these games confidently, and most with little-to-no-help. I love that they are all timeless and have an educational twist. We often include these games as part of “school” or to help us reset the day when we need a pick-me-up. A Closer Look at Snowflakes
We always kick off the first week of Winter with a snowflake study and this year was no different. We decided to give the classic paper snowflake a twist when we used small cupcake liners to create these beauties. The ripple texture, pre-made perfect circle and “easy-for-little-hands-to-fold” size of the liners were a win-win! Imagine with shimmering silver or snowflake patterned liners?! Too cute!
